A new one to the family

As you may (or not, but you will really soon), I have been living and working in UK since September 2015.

Yes, the 2CV project is nearly completed (I need to upload everything), but kind of on hold for now...

I have been driving my RX8 in UK for one year and, well, in order to comply with regulation, I had to choose between register my car (left hand drive) and insure it or buy another car...
After checking the price of the insurance, I've quickly chosen to buy a car! Oo'

And, as there are a lot of affordable classic cars, I've gone for a MGB GT fron 1975.
Bought on ebay from a nice guy who kept and maintained the car for roughly 30 years and who even provided all the maintenance history (with bills, MOT certificates, MG Owner Club evaluations, etc).

After a trip to Nottingham, and back to Burnham (west of London) without any breakdown 😄, here it is:

Rebuild of a Solex carburettor 26AIC

I am always keen to rework old mechanical parts, not only to satisfy my thirst for knowledge but also for the pleasure to bring back to life an old thing long forgotten. In this article, we will review a Solex carburettor 26AIC. Je fabrique mon meuble TV, ou... L'épopée d'un week-end...

Tout a commencé quand j'ai acheté mon ampli home-cinéma et les mignonnes petites enceintes qui-vont-bien-avec. Mon meuble TV m'a paru soudainement trop petit et non adapté: il m'obligeait à faire un choix malheureux: ou l'ampli, ou le lecteur DVD... Merci Maman pour le lecteur DVD, je te le rends! (bon, en plus, il a un gniak dans l'axe, vu le bruit qu'il faisait depuis le départ...) Tout ça pour dire que mon ampli s'est retrouvé dans le meuble TV, mais bon, sans être à l'aise non plus... Voici le meuble d'origine et tout le foin qui l'accompagne: Après m'être dit, vas-y, comme tu es riche (c'est un grand mot, hein ^.^), fais-toi plaisir... Ô horreur! après maintes recherches, je n'ai pas trouvé ce que je voulais... Un meuble tout simple avec 6 niches larges (50cm: ampli = 44cm, DVD = 40aine de cm). Bref, au bout d'un moment, j'ai fini par me dire: "Bon, grand, faut qu'on parle. Tu as vu tes potes faire du meub...

Kon'banwa! You'll find below the current state of my next chef d'œuvre! Assez d'anglais, j'en bouffe toute la journée! Donc, voilà le stage 3! Ça avance pas trop mal, des roseaux, des herbes, un caillou, le décor prend forme tout doucement, selon l'inspiration du moment! Piqûre de rappel pour ceux qui prennent le train en route: - stage 1, la naissance, - stage 2, le retour . Allez, courage bientôt le stage 4! On y croit! Bonne soirée à tous, et...
